The origin of 'Cúla Búla

The Cúla Búla journey began with a vision.

Ronan, owner of Charlie P’s Irish Pub in Vienna, wanted to create a full-bodied, hoppy Pale Ale that would truly wow his customers.

With years of experience behind the bar and a deep understanding of what bers styles Charlie P's customers enjoyed, Ronan set out to bring this vision to life.

That journey led him to Wolfgang Fischer, founder of The Drunken Unicorn Beer Factory in Korneuburg. The two hit it off and decided to collaborate.

Together, they crafted a recipe that blended bold hops, rich flavour, and serious drinkability.

The result? A one-of-a-kind Pale Ale that quickly became a house favourite at Charlie P’s.

That’s how Cúla Búla was born.

Crafted with Passion

What sets Cúla Búla apart is the passion behind it. Ronan and Wolfgang share a deep love for small-batch, independent brewing — and that love shines through in every sip.

The logo and Ogham script are a nod to Ronan’s roots in Dublin, Ireland.

The bold blue colours reflect the energy and spirit of the city — bringing a touch of Irish character to every bottle.

Cúla Búla isn’t just a great Pale Ale — it’s something new for the Austrian beer scene.
