Blacks Brewery & Distillery was founded in 2013 by husband-and-wife team Maud and Sam Black. What began as a small start-up with big dreams has grown into one of Ireland’s most exciting success stories.
Based in Kinsale, at the gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way, Blacks proudly became Ireland’s first co-located brewery and distillery—producing both award-winning beers and handcrafted spirits all under one roof.
From the start, Maud and Sam set out to break boundaries and bring something fresh to the Irish drink's scene. What began with craft beer quickly expanded into distilling whiskey, gin, and rum, backed by a passion for quality and a love for local tradition.

Black Beak Irish Gin
Black Beak Irish Gin is a bold, small-batch gin crafted by Blacks Distillery in Kinsale, along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
Inspired by the rugged coastline and the seabirds that soar above it, this gin blends 13 handpicked botanicals, including fresh pink grapefruit peel, juniper berries, and locally foraged Irish heather flowers.
Orris and angelica roots add a smooth, earthy depth, creating a crisp, citrus-forward spirit with a warm, balanced finish. Whether served neat, over ice, or with tonic and a wedge of pink grapefruit, Black Beak delivers a refreshing taste of Irish craft and coastal character in every pour.
